Converter for Controlling Addressable LEDs over Long Distances

Design and manufacturing of a board addressing the limitations of the WS281x protocol over longer distances.

  • Conversion of 8 TTL lines to RS485 and back at the LED strip
  • Galvanically isolated input, protections, and soft-start power supply
  • Temperature measurement and active fan speed control
  • Output terminal block with multiple voltage levels (ready for expansion)
  • Wide operating voltage (compatible with 12V and 24V LED strips)

Boards for Specific Applications

  • Automotive decorative lighting: Power supply and control of addressable 144 LED/m strips for main vehicle headlights, effect projection. Voltage filtering, protections, controlled via an ESP32 microcontroller with WLED.
  • Audio projects: Redesign of a high-quality power supply combined with a headphone amplifier based on the SuSy Dynalo topology. Designed for high-impedance headphones. The device features extremely high stereo channel separation.
  • Stage equipment: USB-DMX converter supporting 1× DMX universe (512 channels).
